A New York man decided it would be best not to drink and drive, but the problem is he had his unlicensed 10-year-old son do the driving!
Police were contacted on Saturday when a onlooker saw what looked like a young child driving a truck on highway Route 9 in Stillwater, NY.
When police stopped the truck, the kid pulled over and cops discovered it was indeed a kid driving the vehicle while his father was allegedly intoxicated in the passenger seat.
It was arranged for the child to be picked up by another family member while 46-year-old John H. Barling, was charged with endangering welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, and permitting unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Child services were contacted by the police as well.
Come on, we gotta do better!
