We all witnessed the epic shade that was bestowed upon Iggy Azalea at the Soul Train Awards from host with the most, Erykah Badu. She pretended to take a phone call from Iggy saying “No you can come, cause what you’re doing is definitely not rap.”
It was that unexpected premium shade. Badu decided to make nice and issue an apology, well sort of. You already know Erykah had to put her comedic touch to it! Monday night during a Twitter Q&A, she was asked why she made fun of the Austrailian rapper.
She took the high road and issued an apology on behalf of her daughters, Puma and Mars, who are fans of Azalea. She could have taken that moment to continue to shade her, but she kindly let her live.
Well, Iggy got word of Badu’s Twitter apology and accepted her apology. She also offered up Badu’s daughters tickets to her show in exchange for good grades.
She started off the letter with “tell the kids I’m a big fan of mom, even if we don’t agree where to file my music in their iTunes folder.” LOL
