<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">One time for the ladies! Eve and Trina will be the next Verzuz battle and they’re about to rep hard for the female emcees!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The new Verzuz lineup, which dropped Wednesday night, shows Eve and Trina are set to go head-to-head on June 16th, getting the ball rolling for the June battles. <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/bow-wow-accepts-soulja-boys-challenge-to-do-a-verzuz-battle-video/">Bow Wow and Soulja Boy’s much touted battle</a> will follow 10 days later on June 26.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A third battle was announced slated for July 1, ahead Fourth of July holiday weekend, in partnership with Essence Fest, which is returning after much anticipation since being canceled last year due to Covid. But the “who” in the battle remains a mystery as the reveal will likely come closer to the battle date.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As far as the ladies go, Eve and Trina will be the first two female rappers to battle on the Verzuz platform, though Tina previously battled her good friend and confidante Trick Daddy in an unrelated battle.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Many wondered if the matchup made sense, considering the two rappers’ individual styles. While Eve’s career is a bit more eclectic, running the gamut from gangster rap to songs that topped the pop charts, Trina’s style is more focused on the hypersexualized side of female hip hop.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Both ladies have certainly left their mark on the rap landscape but the Roommates had mixed reactions to the announcement.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Eve &; Trina..not the same vibe,” one Roommate wrote in response to the battle.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Now y’all know who tf gonna win this shouldn’t even be a matchup tf,” another Roommate wrote.</span></p>
