Looks like Trump will be forced to see everyone’s opinions on his Twitter timeline because he is officially no longer allowed to block anyone!
According to the Associated Press, a New York federal judge ruled that blocking people — including critics — simply for their political views violates the First Amendment. In the ruling, Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald said that no government official, including the Commander In Chief, is above this law.
As a result, a Justice Department attorney said that Trump will just have to mute people to avoid seeing tweets he doesn’t want to read.
The case was filed last July by the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University and seven Twitter users who were block by Trump after criticizing him.
