<p>Two former security guards are suing Shelby County Schools, formerly Memphis County Schools, after they were fired for allegedly using excessive force on a 17 year old black student. Henry Todd and Richard Pinner alleged that they took down the pregnant teen at Northwest Prep Academy after she began yelling profanities at them. In a surveillance video, you can see that they are a bit rough with the young lady considering she&#8217;s pregnant, however both men deny using excessive force and justify their &#8220;appropriate force&#8221; by alleging that she resisted arrest.</p>
<p>Even though the incident happened back in 2013, it&#8217;s now ready to go to trial. On Monday, a teacher testified that during the time of the incident, the principal allegedly stated, &#8220;If those white officers hurt my black babies, I&#8217;m going to have them fired.&#8221; The principal later testified saying that it was not true, however there lies the basis of the lawsuit.</p>
