<p>The famed talent competition, “Showtime At The Apollo,” will be making an official comeback to our televisions.</p>
<p>According to <em><a href="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/fox-steve-harvey-expanding-showtime-at-apollo-weekly-series-994660">The Hollywood Reporter</a></em>, Fox has ordered the show as a weekly series for the 2017-2018 broadcast season.</p>
<p>Steve Harvey will revive his role as host of the show. Back in December of 2016, the show made a special return, and now we will get to see the classic talent competition on a weekly basis.</p>
<p>Steve Harvey said in a statement, “We all had such a blast on the two specials that aired earlier this season, that we thought it really deserved being a weekly event. But our mission is a little different this time around.”</p>
<p>He continued, “Instead of just putting on a great show, we’re going to do that and find the next great comic and the next big music star. That’s what the Apollo is all about. My roots are on that stage and I can’t wait to be there every week, looking for great talent. Who said you can’t go back home again?”</p>
<p>“Showtime At The Apollo” has been responsible for kick-starting the careers of legendary artists such as James Brown, Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder and many others.</p>
<p>Steve Harvey first started hosting the show during the 1989-1999 season and left the show in 2000.</p>
