Sometimes when something sounds too good to be true it usually is, but this jaw-dropping deal from Frontier Airlines is definitely the real thing…if you have a certain last name, that is.
According to @CNN, Frontier Airlines currently has a promotion to end all promotions—and all you have to do to benefit from it is to have the last name “Green” or “Greene.” If you qualify with the right name you can fly totally free for the month of August, no strings attached.
If you’re wondering why Frontier Airlines is doing something like this, well it’s to celebrate the fact that the Colorado-based airline is said to operate “America’s greenest flight” and to share the accomplishment with customers, the company is giving away free flights—up to $400 in value—for the promotion of Green Week, the company’s ecofriendly initiative.
Frontier Airline spokesman Zach Kramer expressed his excitement at the overwhelming response the promotion has received so far, saying:
“We’re very excited to share our green message with everyone. I was surprised how many people have the last name Green.”
Now for a bit of the fine print. To receive the free flight deal passengers must book a flight on FlyFrontier.com, must depart on August 13th, return by August 20th, and must legally have the last name Green or Greene.
