Future Says Jay Z’s ‘Reasonable Doubt’ Album Wasn’t Hot Until Pac And Biggie Died

#Roommates now you already know social media had a field day with this one. Music executive Steve Stoute posted a couple clips on Instagram of him, James Harden, Hot 97’s Ebro, Lebron James & Future having a deep conversation in barber shop. Now the clip that seems to be making its way around social media is the one where Future is talking about Jay Z’s Reasonable Doubt album, which he said wasn’t really popping until the 2 Pac & Biggie died.

“Jay Z wasn’t great when Tupac and Biggie was alive,” said the Atlanta MC. “It was Biggie, Tupac, Ice Cube… [Reasonable Doubt] wasn’t hot until [Tupac and Biggie] died.”

Future explained that he wasn’t throwing shade at Jay but Tupac and Bigge were already established artists at that time and Jay’s work got overlooked.

“I’m saying at that time, [it wasn’t hot]. They always go back for your classic album. When Nas dropped his first album, it was great then,” he added. “When “[If] I Ruled The World” came out, it was the best then. You have to go back and listen to Reasonable Doubt and [think] this the best sh-t ever.”
