Whew! Gang members in Taiwan chose a different type of petty to send a message to a restaurant owner who allegedly owed them some cash.

Authorities are investigating an attack on G House Taipei that happened earlier this week, and they say two gang members threw 1,000 cockroaches into the eatery.

Police believe the attack on G House Taipei could have been carried out by a criminal organization in revenge for unpaid debt, according to the Daily Mail.

CCTV footage released by the Taipei Police Department shows two men dressed in black entering the restaurant and throwing the roaches in the air before running back out.

During a press conference, Taipei Police Commissioner, Chen Jia-chang, said that throwing bags of cockroaches is classed as a violent act and should be punished. He added that the roaches were small and likely the type that are used for feeding fish.

Police are reportedly sorting things out now. Four men and one woman who are suspected of involvement in the roach attack have been taken into custody, according to reports.

The suspects are believed to have been involved in a financial dispute with the restaurant’s owner.

Even though police may have caught the people who did this, the restaurant is still very much taking an L for this insect invasion.

Following the attack, G House Taipei announced that it obviously had to shut down the restaurant so that it could be completely sterilized.

Just thinking about one roach makes my skin crawl, so I can’t imagine what it was like to be in the restaurant when this went down.

Let’s just hope people don’t take this idea and run with it because I need our restaurants to be safe!
