#Roommates, HBO Max is continuing to add to its slate of original programmingand they are teaming up with Michael B. Jordan for a new project.
@Variety reports, Michael B. Jordan has added another project to his production company, Outlier Society, and it’s in the form of a new animated series. Michael has teamed up with HBO Max and creator Obi Arisukwu, to bring OBI to HBOs popular streaming service.
Along with the announcement, HBO Max also released a synopsis for the series, which is described as follows:
OBI is about a 30-year-old man-childchasing his dream to become an artist whilenavigating adulthood with his friends.OBI is an adaptation of Obi Arisukwus popular Instagram comic strip. This project is co-created by ObiArisukwuand Arthur Harris (The Last OG.)
Along with production from Michael B. Jordans Outlier Society, the series will also be produced by Michael Schreiber of Studio71, and David Devries.
While you may not immediately know his name, youve surely seen Arisukwus work as the popular cartoonist has a very loyal and dedicated following on social media, courtesy of his funny and relatable comics.
Since the series was just announced, there is currently no word on a premiere date nor who will be part of the cast.
