<p>News recently broke that 17-year-old Alana &#8220;Honey Boo Boo&#8221; Thompson&#8217;s 21-year-old boyfriend, Dralin Craswell, was arrested on <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/black-ink-crew-star-richard-duncan-opens-up-about-recent-dui-arrest/?_gl=1*1crj1va*_up*MQ..*_ga*MTIzNjQ4Nzk2NS4xNjc3ODc3NDIy*_ga_V2HX8YP3XL*MTY3Nzg3NzQyMS4xLjEuMTY3Nzg3ODA3OC4wLjAuMA.." target="_blank" rel="noopener">DUI</a> charges following a high-speed chase, and the former TLC star was in the vehicle at the time.</p>
<p>Additionally, according to <a href="https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/7539781/honey-boo-boo-boyfriend-dralin-carswell-gun-drugs-arrest/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>The Sun</em></a>, authorities say they uncovered an unregistered gun—along with a bag of marijuana—in the vehicle!</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Honey Boo Boo Boyfriend Is Accused Of Evading Authorities</h3>
<p>The situation unfolded on Tuesday, and <em><a href="https://people.com/tv/alana-honey-boo-boo-thompson-involved-police-car-chase-boyfriend-dralin-carswell-dui-arrest/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">People</a></em> reports that it all began after an officer ran Dralin&#8217;s car tags in Monroe County, Georgia, and found that he had a warrant for his arrest.</p>
<p>In response to the officer trying to make a traffic stop, however, Dralin&#8217;s accused of hitting the gas and taking authorities on a three-mile-long pursuit. Authorities were eventually able to disable the vehicle, and they arrested Dralin for fleeing and driving under the influence.</p>
<p>We should note that Alana, 17, was not arrested—though her older sister reportedly had to go pick her up from Monroe County Jail.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">The Couple Was Allegedly Ridin&#8217; Dirty</h3>
<p>Shortly after the initial news, further details were published by <em>The Sun</em>. Specifically, the outlet cited police records and noted that a vehicle search uncovered an unregistered gun and a bag of cannabis.</p>
<p>Additionally, during the chase, the outlet reports that Dralin allegedly &#8220;ran one car off the roadway.&#8221;</p>
<p>Ultimately, the 21-year-old was ultimately held on $25,000 bond, and it&#8217;s unclear when he&#8217;ll be due in court.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">People Have Long Given The Relationship The Side-Eye</h3>

<p>Alana addressed the backlash against the relationship during a sit-down with <em><a href="https://www.etonline.com/alana-honey-boo-boo-thompson-addresses-criticism-over-age-gap-with-boyfriend-dralin-exclusive" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Entertainment Tonight</a> </em>back in July, and she also noted that—aside from their age gap—them being an interracial couple gets hate, too.</p>

<p>However, Alana made it clear that she isn&#8217;t preoccupied with the backlash, as their families approve of the relationship.</p>
