Remember when Bill Cosby came out saying that he was going to sue former supermodel Beverly Johnson for defamation? Well, Bill Cosby and his lawyer have decided to drop the case (for now) because he’s too busy with his other legal problems!
Beverly Johnson came out more than a year ago saying that Cosby had invited her over to a brownstone in New York and gave her a cappuccino with drugs in it. Shortly after Johnson and multiple other women came out accusing Cosby of drugging and raping them, Cosby took matters into his own hands and started filing suits against the women but most publicly against Beverly. He said on multiple occasions that she was trying to revive her dwindling career.
Now, more than a year later, Bill Cosby has decided to drop the ongoing case without prejudice, meaning it can be picked up later. Bill Cosby’s lawyer told The Wrap that his other criminal proceedings impede on his ability to further the case against Johnson but they expect to re-file before the statute of limitation expires
At this point, 78-year-old Bill Cosby must be exhausted with all this legal drama! We’ll keep you updated on what’s next with this messiness.
