<p>Ice T knows he plays entirely too much! The rapper turned actor had fans shaking in their boots after he posted that he was robbed at a gas station in New Jersey on Thursday.</p>
<p>The SVU star wrote a paragraph on Twitter explaining that he got GOT while he was pumping gas, and while fans started to send their well wishes, they quickly realized it was just a joke!</p>
<p>&#8220;I was robbed at a gas station in NJ last night,&#8221; the post read. &#8220;After my hands stopped trembling..I managed to call the cops and they were quick to respond and calmed me down&#8230;My money is gone..the police asked me if I knew who did it..I said yes..it was pump number 9.&#8221;</p>

<p>Ice T might&#8217;ve been telling a joke, but people around the country have been expressing that paying for gas feels like they&#8217;re being robbed forreal! As we previously reported, the national average price for gas per gallon rose to over $4 in the past few weeks, and has since skyrocketed to record-high figures.</p>
<p>Lawmakers are working to relieve people of the gas burden, but it may not be enough. Ride-share services like Lyft and Uber have even added temporary fuel surcharges to their services due to the rise in prices.</p>
<p>Some states, including California, have proposed rebates to taxpayers to offer relief for all who live in the state. In Cali, t<a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/california-lawmakers-propose-400-gas-rebate-for-all-taxpayers-including-those-who-dont-have-a-car/">he $400 rebate would</a> be paid out to every resident who pays taxes, including those who do not have a car.</p>
