
#Roommates, as many are still processing the shocking news of the hanging death of Robert Fuller near Palmdale City Hall in Californiait has caused new attention to be brought to a similar case just 50 miles away. Malcolm Harsch from Victorville, California was found hanging from a tree near the Victorville City Library back in May.
@LATimes reports, on May 31st, 38-year-old Malcolm Harschs body was found hanging from a tree near the Victorville City Libraryand according to an update from the San Bernardino County Sheriffs Department no foul play was suspected in his death. However, the department also said that the investigation into his death is still ongoing. There were no indications at the scene that suggested foul play; however, the cause and manner of death are still pending, Sheriffs Department spokeswoman Jodi Miller told local media outlets.
The Victorville Fire Department initially found Harschs body hanging after receiving a dispatch call around 7AM. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they Harsch hanging from a nearby tree with a rope around his neck. Additionally, Harschs family back in Ohio says they were told by authorities that blood was found on his shirt and there was no evidence of a strugglebut they arent buying that and noted that Harschs body was at the San Bernardino County coroners office for 12 days before an autopsy was performed.
The explanation of suicide does not seem plausible, the family wrote. There are many ways to die but considering the current racial tension, a Black man hanging himself from a tree definitely doesnt sit well with us right now. Harschs do not believe that his hanging death was the result of suicide and they discussed recent conversations with him where he talked about seeing his children soon.
Meanwhile, just 50 miles away, Robert Fullers death has sparked national outrage after the 27-year-old was also found hanged to death near the Palmdale City Hall.
