<p><em>Insecure </em>fans listen up, ‘cause Issa Rae has just provided an update about the long awaited, highly anticipated fourth season of her hit HBO series—and it’s good news!</p>
<p>As previously reported a few months ago, fans of the Emmy-nominated series <em>Insecure</em> were devastated to learn that the series would not be returning to TV screens this year, instead being pushed until a 2020 airdate. The cause of the delay is the busy schedule of the series’ star, creator and writer, Issa Rae.</p>
<p>Now, Issa—who is currently promoting HBO’s <em>A Black Lady Sketch Show</em> for which she is a producer—has officially provided another encouraging update for fans to get excited about. As reported by @Deadline, Issa and her team are currently in the writer’s room <a href="https://deadline.com/2019/07/issa-rae-insecure-season-4-update-tca-1202652967/">finishing up</a> the forthcoming fourth season.</p>
<p>However, that’s not all, as she also revealed that the series starts shooting again in September—and in a move that must have been motivated by the fan outcry for more <em>Insecure</em>, season four will have 10 episodes instead of the usual 8 episodes contained in the first three seasons.</p>
<p>So, while we may have to wait a little bit longer for our <em>Insecure </em>fix, it’s definitely coming!</p>
