It aint safe no more in the DMs #Roommates! Instagram just rolled out new feature that allows users to see the online status for people that theyve hit up in the DMs. You know what that means #Roommates? No more silently curving someone on the low because theyll know when you were last active online!
According to Gadgets 360, the feature even works if the person isnt following you.
In a statement, an Instagram spokesperson said, “Were always working on ways to make it easier to have fun, real-time conversations with friends on Instagram. We recently rolled out the ability to see when people you follow or message in Direct were last active on Instagram, and they can see when you were last active. Activity status only appears in the Direct inbox and you can control the visibility of your activity status in Settings.”
