<p><strong>Iyanla Vanzant</strong> shared that her youngest daughter, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/vanzant_n/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Nisa Vanzant</strong></a>, recently passed away — leaving the 69-year-old life coach in a state of mourning.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Iyanla Vanzant Sorrowfully Announces &#8220;The Transition Of Nisa Vanzant&#8221; On Instagram</h3>
<p>The <em>Iyanla: Fix My Life </em>star shared the devastating news on Sunday (Jul. 30) via <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CvV9e5kr3Qi/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&;igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Instagram</a>.</p>
<p>Her upload consisted of neutral colors and featured a solemn candle. The text at the top of the post lists Nisa&#8217;s name, while her life span is incorporated just below.</p>
<p>While Nisa&#8217;s exact date of birth is unclear, the years line up with her being 48 or 49 years old.</p>
<p>Beneath this upload, Iyanla Vanzant&#8217;s caption read, <strong><em>&#8220;It is with great sorrow that we announce the transition of Nisa Vanzant the youngest daughter of our Beloved Iyanla Vanzant.&#8221;</em></strong></p>
<p>After noting that the family was &#8220;asking [fans for] prayers,&#8221; the caption wrapped up with Iyanla and her loved ones asking others to respect their privacy as they grieve.</p>
<p>We should also add that Iyanla&#8217;s last-living (and oldest) child — <a href="https://www.instagram.com/iyanlas_sun/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Damon Vanzant</strong></a> — shared Iyanla&#8217;s post through his Instagram Story.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Iyanla Lost Another Daughter, Gemmia, In 2003</h3>
<p>This ordeal comes 20 years after Iyanla lost her second-born child, <strong>Gemmia Vanzant</strong>.</p>
<p>According to <a href="https://people.com/archive/iyanla-vanzant-from-heartbreak-to-healing-vol-80-no-6/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PEOPLE</a>, Gemmia passed away on Christmas Day 2003 after succumbing to colon cancer. She was 32 years old.</p>
<p>Back in autumn 2021, Iyanla spoke about how the loss changed her life during a sit-down on <a href="https://www.today.com/podcasts/hoda-kotb-making-space-podcast-iyanla-vanzant-t234320" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>Making Space with Hoda Kotb</em></a>.</p>
