Jada Pinkett Smith is unbothered about the jokes Chris Rock made about her Oscar Boycott at this year’s awards ceremony.
So remember at the Oscars Chris Rock poked fun at Jada for Boycotting the show? He said “Jada said she’s not coming. I was like isn’t she on TV? Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna’s panties. I wasn’t invited!” The joke was received negatively by the crowd and by viewers on social media but Jada isn’t sweating it!
When approached by the paps at LAX over the weekend, Pinkett-Smith said jokes like the one coming from Chris “come with the territory.” She says “We gotta keep it moving. We got a lot of stuff we gotta handle, a lot of stuff going on in our world right now.” So in other words she said she’s not sweating Chris Rock or the Oscars.
Jada sparked much conversation about the lack of diversity at the Oscars and in Hollywood in general. It’s a known fact that she spoke out not just for herself but also for her husband Will Smith who could have been nominated as well as all other people of color in Hollywood. We hope that Chris Rock and fellow actors and actresses can work out the problems in Hollywood!
