<p>When <strong>Jaylan Banks</strong> and <strong>Falynn Pina </strong><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/falynn-pina-jaylan-banks-relationship-split-miscarriage/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced their split</a> in February, things seemed amicable in their joint statement. But nearly six months later, Banks is claiming Pina &#8220;groomed&#8221; him, then left him for another man.</p>
<p>The &#8220;MTV Couples Retreat&#8221; star opened up about his former relationship in a recent &#8220;Relationships Matter&#8221; podcast episode. Jaylan Banks mentioned grooming when the host asked him how their romance started.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I was groomed,&#8221; Banks said. &#8220;She made it seem as if he was doing her wrong, and then come to find out I&#8217;m on the other side now so that&#8217;s narccissist&#8230;She groomed me&#8230;would tell me he&#8217;s doing this to me and I felt sad for her and being a friend. That&#8217;s what narcissist do, they groom you. Make the other person look bad so when you do something you won&#8217;t feel bad about it because you feel as if they were treating that person wrong.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p>Banks said during a trip to Cancun, Mexico, a night of drinking resulted in &#8220;one thing [leading] to another.&#8221; Jaylan added that he knew &#8220;right there and then&#8221; that he was in love with Falynn and &#8220;it was too late to turn back.&#8221;</p>
<p>Falynn&#8217;s ex-husband <strong>Simon Guobadia</strong> <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/simon-guobadia-responds-to-falynn-guobadias-teaser-alleges-she-cheated-and-is-pregnant/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">repeatedly accused</a> her of cheating with Banks before their relationship was public. Falynn has previously denied that she cheated on Guobadia. Simultaneously, the entrepreneur also faced backlash for entering a relationship and getting engaged to Pina&#8217;s former co-star <strong>Porsha Williams</strong>&#8211;who is <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/porsha-williams-dons-seven-wardrobe-changes-for-double-wedding-ceremony-with-simon-goubadia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">now his wife</a>.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Jaylan Banks Says He&#8217;s &#8220;Scared&#8221; To Let His Daughter Be Raised With Falynn&#8217;s &#8220;Trauma&#8221;</h3>
<p>When asked what happened in the relationship, Banks referred to a phrase online users spewed at him throughout their romance. He said he &#8220;lost her how [he] got her.&#8221;</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I lost myself within my relationship with her, and now I&#8217;m left alone to find myself again&#8211;when I helped her find herself in her relationship when she was lost. So now that I&#8217;m lost I&#8217;m no longer good for her anymore.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p>Jaylan Banks later alleged that by the time they split, Pina already had someone else in the picture.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Come to find out [Falynn&#8217;s] nine-year-old was already calling him dad and I was still in love with her,&#8221; Banks said. &#8220;Still to this day, I still have love for her to some point. So I was hurt. Like, I&#8217;m the type of person I would&#8217;ve never done that to you. I would&#8217;ve never abandoned you and left you and just moved on with life. And she had so much trauma in her life, I&#8217;m scared to let my daughter be raised like that,&#8221; Banks shared.</p></blockquote>
<p>Banks and Pina <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/falynn-pina-jaylan-banks-announce-theyre-expecting-their-first-child-together/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">welcomed their first</a> child, a daughter named <strong>Emma Sang Pina</strong>, in November 2021. In August of that year, Banks gushed about being &#8220;as ready as [he] can ever be&#8221; in their joint pregnancy announcement video.</p>
<p>He added that he was also taking on the role of a &#8220;father figure&#8221; to Falynn&#8217;s three sons from a previous relationship. In his words, he was &#8220;giving back to the boys what [he] never received.&#8221;</p>
<p>In January of this year, the former couple announced they <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/former-rhoa-cast-falynn-pina-and-fiance-jaylan-banks-reveal-miscarriage-the-lord-called-our-baby-home/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">suffered a miscarriage</a>.</p>

<p>As mentioned, Falynn and Banks announced their split in a statement shared on social media. It claimed their &#8220;bond as friends and family will never be broken.&#8221;</p>
