Yesterday news broke that N.W.A’s former manager Jerry Heller passed away at the age of 75.

Many were reminded of who Heller was when; actor Paul Giamatti portrayed him in the 2015 film, “Straight Outta Compton.”

According to TMZ, Heller’s attorney Mickey Shapiro said, last years film is what contributed to his death. Apparently the way he was depicted in the film was one of the factors that led him to die in a car crash after suffering a heart attack.

Heller began to experience “tremendous amount of stress” and was left “heart broken.” Shapiro simply told TMZ, “Jerry Heller would be alive today if not for that movie.”

If you’re familiar with the film, then you know that Jerry Heller was the manager of N.W.A and helped contribute to their massive success. However, according to the film, he also contributed to the group’s breakup.

Other popular artists Heller managed included, Ike & Tina Turner, Otis Redding and Black Sabbath.

Last year Heller sued Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and the “Straight Outta Compton” producers for $75 million for defaming his character. He pointed out certain scenes from the film, claiming that they were untrue.

We send our condolences to Jerry Heller’s family for their loss.
