<p>Roommates, as the country continues to wait for the results of the 2020 presidential election—new reports suggest that we may not know the winner until over a month from now despite <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/joe-biden-officially-breaks-barack-obamas-record-for-receiving-the-most-popular-votes-in-history-with-70-million-and-counting/">Joe Biden</a>’s lead. A recount is expected in the battleground state of Wisconsin where Joe Biden is currently in the lead over Donald Trump and state voting officials say that a waiting game could last for quite a while.</p>
<p>According to reports, as Joe Biden <a href="https://www.latimes.com/politics/liveblog/election-2020-live-updates-trump-biden-presidential-race-wednesday#biden-leads-in-wisconsin-with-all-votes-counted-but-a-recount-is-expected">continues to hold</a> a small lead over Donald Trump in Wisconsin, a recount appears all but certain—and It can be expected to take more than a month.</p>
<p>Wisconsin’s elections commission administrator, Meagan Wolfe, told media outlets that all of the state’s counties had posted their results, with Biden’s 20,697-vote margin putting him a little more than half a percentage point ahead of Trump, out of more than 3.2 million votes.</p>
<p>Wisconsin law permits recounts when one side leads by less than 1%.Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien said Wednesday he expected the margin in the state to remain tight enough to qualify for a recount.</p>
<p>Wisconsin is no stranger to close presidential elections and to recounts. In 2016, Green Party candidate Jill Stein requested a second tabulation of the votes, while Trump still had a more than 22,000-vote victory over Hillary Clinton.</p>
<p>Wisconsin and its 10 electoral votes are critical to both Biden and Trump in order to win the election…and Biden has earned the victory.</p>
