<p>President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris haven&#8217;t taken their places in the White House yet, but the duo is definitely making provisions to change some things for the better, and have just made history once again!</p>
<p>Joe and Kamala have just announced new members of the White House staff who will fill the senior communications roles for their administration. Joe Biden has made it clear that he is looking for a staff that reflects America, which is why these communications roles will be filled by women for the first time in history.</p>
<p>&#8220;Communicating directly and truthfully to the American people is one of the most important duties of a President, and this team will be entrusted with the tremendous responsibility of connecting the American people to the White House,&#8221; President-Elect Biden said in a statement. &#8220;I am proud to announce today the first senior White House communications team comprised entirely of women. These qualified, experienced communicators being diverse perspectives to their work and a shared commitment to building this country back better.&#8221;</p>
<p>The team of seven is made up of some of the most trusted ladies of the Biden-Harris campaign including former Senior Advisors Elizabeth E. Alexander, Ashley Etienne, Karine Jean-Pierre, and Symone Sanders, former Deputy Campaign Manager Kate Bedingfield, Overseer of Confirmations Jen Psaki, and former Communications Director for Coalitions Pili Tobar.</p>
<p>Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris had this to say about the new staff:</p>
<p>&#8220;Our country is facing unprecedented challenges&#8211;from the coronavirus pandemic to the economic crisis, to the climate crisis, and a long-overdue reckoning over racial justice. To overcome these challenged, we need to communicate clearly, honestly, and transparently with the American people, and this experienced, talented, and barrier-shattering team will help us to do that.&#8221;</p>
<p>As y&#8217;all know, Joe and Kamala will not officially be sworn into their new roles until January, but you can expect to see many changes to the White House before then!</p>
