It has been months since the release of Jordan Peele’s film “Get Out,” and the film continues to break records.

Recently Peele signed a new deal, with Universal Pictures, as they will have the stakes to claim his next film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Peele signed a first-look deal under his Monkeypaw Production Company for a two-year pact. Under the deal, Peele will create the follow-up film to his box office hit “Get Out.”

Peele will write, direct and produce the untitled thriller, which will consist of a budget that is five times bigger than the $5 million used to create his last film.

Peele said, “I am thrilled to continue the work we started together on Get Out — pushing the boundaries of storytelling, not only on the next film but with all of Monkeypaw’s future projects.”

Donna Langley, the chairman of Universal said, “Through extraordinary imagination and fearless humor, Jordan has proven himself to be a game-changer who is driven to tell stories that are as commercially entertaining as they are disruptive and provocative. The entire Universal family takes great pride in his incomparable filmmaking debut, and feel fortunate that this studio will be Jordan’s home for many years to come.”

Jordan Peele’s film “Get Out” received six nominations from the MTV Movie & TV Awards, taking home two awards for Daniel Kaluuya and Lil Rel Howery.
