The time for Juelz Santana to surrender to authorities is quickly approaching. However, he reportedly wants to push back his surrender date so he can attend an event.
According to documents obtained by The Blast, Juelz is reportedly requesting that his current surrender date of January 30th be extended by a month. He is reportedly seeking permission to travel to Georgia next month so he can attend the filming of a Tyler Perry reunion.
The document reportedly states, “This event is connected to his participation in the television show ‘Love & Hip Hop.’ It is crucial to his professional career that he be able to participate, and it will provide closure for him as he embarks on his term of imprisonment.”
Juelz reportedly argues that he received a short notice from officials, and he has yet to be given his prison paperwork. He says that a one-month extension will allow him to gather everything with his family and career.
As we previously reported, Juelz was sentenced to 27 months behind bars. He pled guilty to unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
