<p><strong>K. Michelle</strong> is getting her flowers <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/jennifer-hudson-common-relationship-rumors-pda-photo/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">from fans</a> on social media following her Country Music Awards performance! The 58th annual event took place in Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday (Nov. 8), and the singer&#8217;s mic was definitely ON as she belted lyrics at the 2023 annual show alongside artist Jelly Roll.</p>
<p>First, she pulled up to the CMA red carpet in an elegant, high-leg slit, burgundy gown with a one-shoulder ruffle. Her hair was styled in a high bun and split bangs.</p>

<p>Later, for her performance, the singer changed into a mini white dress with a feathered peach tail, complete with a crystal-decorated bustier.</p>

<p>She took the stage <a href="https://www.billboard.com/music/awards/2023-cmas-jelly-roll-k-michelle-love-can-build-a-bridge-1235467366/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">with Jelly Roll</a> to sing The Judds&#8217; &#8220;Love Can Build A Bridge&#8221; with a lil&#8217; gospel twist. After they wrapped to a standing ovation, Jelly Roll called K. Michelle&#8217;s rendition &#8220;incredible.&#8221;</p>
<p>K. Michelle is also featured on an album with Jelly Roll, Dolly Parton, and Reba McEntire singing the same song in dedication to the late singer Naomi Judd.</p>

<p>In August, K. Michelle told &#8216;<strong><a href="https://youtu.be/vx6p44u9PYk?si=ablsBykcLlwRCz8m" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Stepping Into The Shade Room</a>&#8216;</strong> host Thembi that she feels her career coming full circle with her pivot to country music.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;They keep telling you, &#8216;You can’t sing that because you Black.&#8217; I only did R&;B because y’all kept telling me I couldn’t do [country] because of how I look or act. And to see [it come] full circle, that’s crazy to me,&#8221; she said.</p></blockquote>
<p>This is her second major country music show performance in recent months. She also performed at the CMA Fest in June.</p>

<p>Fun fact: After high school, K. Michelle won a scholarship for yodeling during an audition at Florida A&;M University.</p>
