I can probably count on one hand how many photos I have seen of Kanye West actually smiling, leaving me and probably many other people thinking that he is one unhappy bitter person! Well Kanye has recently opened up about why he actually doesn’t smile in a heart felt speech he gave at the Daily Front Row’s inaugural Fashion Los Angeles Awards and it turns out he isn’t miserable at all!
E! News caught wind of the speech and reported Kim’s hubby saying,
“Back when I was working on Yeezus, I saw this book from the 1800s and it was velvet-covered with brass and everything,” West said. “I looked at all these people’s photos and they look so real and their outfits were incredible and they weren’t smiling and people, you know the paparazzi, always come up to me, ‘Why you not smiling?’ and I think, not smiling makes me smile…When you see paintings in an old castle, people are not smiling cause it just wouldn’t look as cool.”
And if you know Kanye you know he didn’t just stop there. He had a nearly eight minute long speech where he goes into his belief that God is the ultimate creator and art is an extension of God’s work and love.
“Everyone has some form of fashion every single day,” West said, explaining, “We have the power to change the world. I believe that through design, because design is the closest to truth, problem solving truth is the closest to love, and love is the closest thing to God, and God is love.”
It is also rumored that Kanye will be teaming up with Wale to help design the new Washington Wizards’ uniform, do I hear NBA Fashion Week in the making?
I swear either Kanye just loves to hear himself speak or his brain is one interesting artistic playground that I wouldn’t mind tapping into if I ever got the chance. I’m just glad he didn’t stop smiling because he married into the Kardashians, although I wouldn’t blame him if he did.

If you see his personal pictures or kims wedding episode he smiles when hes alone with the ppl he loves. I dont smile in public either. But when im alone with the ppl i love its different
I have to agree with that. I don’t really smile in public and people think I’m mad. I’m not mad, just thinking. When I’m with my peoples,I smile all the time
