<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/?s=kanye+west&;post_type=post">Kanye West</a>’s 2020 presidential bid hasn’t taken off without a hitch, but he is still persevering. Though he has been removed from the Illinois and New Jersey ballot, the rapper is still in the running in hopes of becoming president. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Saturday, Yeezy welcomed the newly selected vice president nominee Kamala Harris. In an tweet shared with a photo of her as a young child he tweeted, </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I know my mom and Kamala Harris would have been friends &#8230; congratulations on being the democratic Vice President nominee&#8230; all love and respect from the future president. It’s an honor to run against you.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As we previously reported, Joe Biden announced last Tuesday that Kamala Harris would be his running mate. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked @KamalaHarris – a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants – as my running mate,” Biden tweeted about the California senator who was once his opponent for the Democratic nomination. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The announcement is historic as it makes Kamala Harris the first Black AND South Asian American woman to run on a major political party’s presidential ticket.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Biden continued,</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Back when Kamala was Attorney General, she worked closely with Beau. I watched as they took on the big banks, lifted up working people, and protected women and kids from abuse. I was proud then, and I’m proud now to have her as my partner in this campaign.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Kamala responded in part, “I’m honored to join him as our party’s nominee for Vice President, and do what it takes to make him our Commander-In-Chief.</span></p>
