<p>Yesterday, Kim Kardashian celebrated her 39th birthday. She shared the special day with her social media followers and gave them a look into her birthday dinner with her close family and friends. However, it is the gift from Kim&#8217;s husband, Kanye West, that made her birthday even more special.</p>
<p>Kim shared with her followers that in honor of her birthday, Kanye made a $1 million donation to a few organizations that Kim supports when it comes to prison reform. The organizations that received the donation were Cut 50, Buried Alive Project, Equal Justice Initiative, and Anti-Recidivism.</p>

<p>She talked about her husband&#8217;s find gesture and <em><a href="https://twitter.com/KimKardashian/status/1186511391999422464?s=20">said</a></em>, &#8220;I got amazing gifts from my whole family and Kanye for me the most amazing bags. But he also donated $1 million to my favorite charities that work so hard on prison reform on my behalf from him and the kids. This makes my heart so happy!&#8221;</p>

<p>Kim has been using her platform to help inmates get a second chance. As we previously <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/momolu-stewart-released-from-prison-after-23-years-with-help-of-kim-kardashian/">reported</a></em>, Momolu Stewart was released from prison after spending 23 years behind bars. <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/kim-kardashian-is-using-her-influence-to-try-and-stop-the-execution-of-rodney-reed-in-texas/">Recently</a></em> she used her voice to try and help stop the execution of Rodney Reed in Texas.</p>
<p>As many of you know, Alice Marie Johnson was another person she helped get out of prison. She was released last year after receiving a life sentence for a first-time, nonviolent drug offense. Kim continues to work with organizations and attorneys to help other inmates hopefully achieve the same kind of freedom.</p>
