Kanye West has some NYFW designers angry after his last-minute decision to unveil his latest Yeezy Season 2 collection!
This Wedneday September 16that Skylight Modern, Kanye will have a runway show, presenting his new collection. The show will also feature a performance from Vanessa Beecroft , who also hit the stage during the presentation of his first collection.
This news has everyone excited except for two unsuspecting designers, Anne Bowen and Naeem Khan, who were scheduled to present their collections at the same time.
Anne Bowen who is supposed to show her street collection “ Nomad VII” is now frantic that her event will be in the shadows.
She had this to say about Kanye,
“Kanye knows he is a media sensation and it is just not ethical to do this. It’s like we are David and he is Goliath. We have put our heart and soul into our show, and should not be stepped on like this.”
Ouch! Ironically, she feels as if Kanye is not respecting the artistry and has filed a complaint with the CFDA Fashion Calendar.
