<p><strong><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/drill-rappers-allege-they-were-removed-from-new-yorks-rolling-loud-lineup-after-nypd-request/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kay Flock</a> </strong>was just indicted by a federal grand jury on racketeering conspiracy charges, all while he awaits trial for murder.</p>
<p>The newest indictment claims the Bronx drill rapper and five others of running the Sev Side/DOA (short for “Dead on Arrival”) street gang, which adds several counts in connection to his separate murder charge, according to <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/02/23/kay-flock-racketeering-conspiracy-indictment-murder-charges/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>TMZ</strong></a>.</p>

His lawyer maintains he acted in self-defense.</section>
<p>The indictment states that the gang&#8217;s main focus was committing robberies and acts of violence, along with financial fraud and charges of attempted murder and illegal firearm possession.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Rapper Already Incarcerated As He Awaits Trial For a Barbershop Murder, Attorney Claims Self-Defense</h3>
<p>Meanwhile the 19-year-old has still managed to release music, thanks to his collaboration with <strong>Cardi B</strong> &#8220;Shake It&#8221; which peaked at No. 51 on the Hot 100 last April.</p>
<p>The rapper is already behind bars as he awaits trial for a previous allegedly murder, according to reports.</p>
<p>Regarding the newest charges, Kay Flock’s attorney, Jeffrey Lichtman, told <a href="https://pitchfork.com/news/kay-flock-indicted-on-federal-racketeering-and-murder-charges/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Pitchfork</strong></a>:</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Flock&#8217;s Attorney &#8220;Not Surprised By Federal Charges,&#8221; Doubles Down On Act Of Self-Defense</h3>
<p>Lichtman doubled down on his client&#8217;s self-defense case, claiming &#8220;it is crystal clear that (he) was about to be shot after attempting to walk away from his attacker.&#8221;</p>

Only then, did Kevin use a weapon to defend himself and another from an armed, violent gang member who was about to pull out the loaded gun in his hand.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
