<p>Over the weekend,<strong> Keke Palmer </strong>and <strong>Darius Daulton Jackson </strong><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/keke-palmer-streaming-the-sims-instagram-live/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">celebrated</a> the pending arrival of their first son together. The couple hosted a &#8216;Once Upon A Baby&#8217; shower, complete with themed props and decor, activities, and plenty of dance floor action!</p>
<p>The parents-to-be came dressed to impress at Saturday&#8217;s function with family and friends. Keke shared five images of their looks to her Insta-feed with a sweet caption highlighting the baby shower theme.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;A long time ago, in a land not so far, The King and Queen got together to play. The play turned to love as many sunsets passed by. Now there&#8217;s a prince who&#8217;s soon to arrive,&#8221; Keke wrote.</p></blockquote>
<p>As for the fit, <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/photo-keke-palmer-stuns-in-maternity-shoot-with-darius-daulton-thanks-nicki-minaj-for-photographer-plug/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Palmer wore</a> a sleeveless, light brown, sweater-like dress paired with simple layered necklaces, bracelets, and squared hoop earrings. Her hair was styled into a high bun with a sliver of a side bang. The expectant mother opted for knee-length boots to complete the look.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, Darius stayed within the brown color palette. He wore a deep tan coat, light brown scarf, hat, and brown checkered pants.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;"><strong>Inside Keke Palmer&#8217;s Baby Shower Theme</strong></h3>
<p>As mentioned, the event&#8217;s theme was &#8216;Once Upon A Baby.&#8217; Different areas of the venue provided various fairytale elements, from the giant storybook where Palmer sourced her Insta-caption to Disney-character areas and games.</p>
<p>Event organizer, Stephanie Terblanche, decorated a long hallway with tall white tree branches surrounded by large floor candles. One area appeared to be &#8216;Bambi&#8217;s Winter Wonderland&#8217; and featured white, gold, and light blue decorations, including balloons and flowers. Another area was titled &#8216;The Lion King Room.&#8217;</p>
<p>There were snacks like cotton candy and Japanese-style shaved ice in flavor options such as <em>&#8220;matcha kakigori, pineapple coconut, and strawberry kakigori.&#8221;</em></p>
<p>In other areas, guests had opportunities to make custom body scrubs, toss items into a diaper wall, customize baby blocks, or race to put diapers on Disney plushies.</p>
<p>Keke shared a video montage of the event. In the caption, she wrote, in part:</p>

I’m really just so so happy for my family and my baby shower for me and @dvulton more than anything was about celebrating the people we love that have carried us this far!!! We know they will be so good to our baby boy. I wish I took more pictures!! Everyone did such a fabulous job it was beautiful.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p>Just days before Keke, Darius and guests celebrated at the baby shower, she revealed <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/keke-palmer-reveals-gender-of-unborn-baby/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">they were expecting</a> a boy. Keke shared the news during an appearance on Jimmy Fallon&#8217;s <em>The Tonight Show</em>. The actress hinted the child&#8217;s star sign might be a Pieces or Aries, meaning he could be born between late February and April.</p>
