Keke Wyatt is known for using her vocals to serenade the masses, but recently, she also used her voice to say that Black people are not the only people to be oppressed.

In a tense exchange with ex Love &; Hip Hop star Milan Christopher, she interrupted Milan as he tried to speak, Wyatt stated: “Because you are so pro-Black and it’s ok to be pro-Black, power to the Black people. Black people are not the only people that have been oppressed. They are not the only ones, my n***a. Jewish people have been oppressed, okay?”

Wyatt went on to add, “I can keep going. I’m bi-racial da**it. We f***ing oppressed because Black people done made us feel feel like s**t. White people make us feel like s**t.”

Wyatt would eventually say to Milan, “I think you [are] a cool a** dude, but I think you need to understand, Sugar, that there is more to life than just being Black.”

Wyatt would tearfully go on to explain that Black kids didn’t want to play with her because her skin was lighter. The singer also expressed that she had other challenges growing up as a bi-racial child.

As it relates to the color of one’s skin, DaniLeigh recently came under fire for her song “Yellowbone,” that highlighted her lighter complexion. After receiving backlash, DaniLeigh took to her Instagram account and stated, “I think it’s super important ‘cause I definitely feel super misunderstood. I think people twisted it like I was trying to bash another woman and her skin tone.” She added: “I never looked at my skin as a privilege,” she continued, “I see brown skin women flaunt their skin in music all the time. Why can’t I flaunt mine?”

DaniLeigh continued, “It can be a personal thing to certain people ‘cause colorism is a real thing. But I’m not that. I’m not a colorist or a racist. I date a whole chocolate man. I have chocolate friends. Skin is not something I even see.”

“Because you don’t know me it’s like let me tell you guys what I meant by that. Hopefully you guys can watch it with an open heart and genuine mind. I’m sorry, again. I offended people who are truly offended. I am sorry.”

Roomies, what do you think about her comments?
