<p><strong><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/kelly-rowland-opens-up-about-reconnecting-with-her-father-after-30-years/">Kelly Rowland</a></strong> just released her new book, &#8220;Always With You, Always With Me,&#8221; which is a children&#8217;s book that she wrote alongside Jessica McKay. We were present at the New York City launch for the book, and Kelly stepped into The Shade Room to speak about the inspiration behind the book, motherhood, building a relationship with her father, and her upcoming film.</p>
<p>When it comes to what inspired her new book, she tells us it came from her personal experience of missing her children as she returned to work, and they headed back to school, following the lockdown caused by the pandemic.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Having that moment when you&#8217;re missing your kids is really real,&#8221; she said. &#8220;It&#8217;s just these moments where you&#8217;re reiterating the bond.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>As <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/kelly-rowland-opens-up-about-reconnecting-with-her-father-after-30-years/">previously</a></em> reported, last month Kelly Rowland opened up about connecting with her father Christopher Lovett after 30 years. When we asked if there was anything she has learned from him about parenting after their recent time together she said,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;You know before we met up again, I don&#8217;t know what his dynamic was of being a parent. So I think he&#8217;s learning how to be a parent to me, learning how to father, and he&#8217;s doing a really good job.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>She continued to explain that they are still in the process of learning each other as they continue to build their relationship.</p>
<p>Kelly also shared her excitement for her upcoming film &#8220;Fantasy Football,&#8221; where she stars alongside Omari Hardwick and Marsai Martin, who also serves as one of the film&#8217;s producers. She said,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;The movie&#8217;s just brilliant, it really really is. Anton Cropper is the director, he is brilliant, one of the many genius&#8217; behind &#8216;Black-ish,&#8217; but the way he&#8217;s directing, and the way this crew is, everything about this is a dream come true of a set to work on and I&#8217;m just delighted.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>According to <em><a href="https://deadline.com/2022/04/omari-hardwick-kelly-rowland-rome-flynn-join-fantasy-football-1235005082/">Deadline</a></em>, the film &#8220;follows 16-year-old Callie Coleman (Marsai), who discovers that she can control her professional football player dad Bobby Coleman’s (Omari) prowess on the field through EA Sports’ <em>Madden NFL</em>.&#8221;</p>
