<p><a href="https://www.instagram.com/cmurder/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Corey &#8220;C-Murder&#8221; Miller</a> is sharing his gratitude to Kim Kardashian after she recently took to social media to continue her advocacy for his prison release. As <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/kim-kardashian-shares-her-support-for-the-release-of-corey-miller/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Shade Room</a> previously reported, Miller — also the brother of Master P — was arrested for murder in 2002. He was sentenced to life in prison in 2009.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Kim Kardashian Shares Background On Corey Miller&#8217;s Case</h3>
<p>On Thursday, Kardashian took to social media to share her knowledge about Miller&#8217;s case with her millions of followers. She explained that she &#8220;wanted to shed some light on a case&#8221; she&#8217;s been working on &#8220;for years.&#8221;</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Corey Miller has spent 21 years in prison for a crime he did not commit, and his conviction is based entirely on the testimony of two men, whom the State dragged to trial just on material witness warrants&#8230;&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Kardashian explained that those witnesses have &#8220;now sworn that their prior testimony is untrue.&#8221; Additionally, she added that &#8220;no remaining evidence&#8221; suggests that Miller is the suspect behind the 2002 shooting of Steve Thomas.</p>
<p>The 42-year-old then explained that Miller&#8217;s case was &#8220;mishandled.&#8221;</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;The lead detective harassed multiple witnesses and mishandled the case to such a degree that the trial court had no choice but to grant Mr. Miller a new trial after he was convicted in 2003.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Additionally, she explained that at the start of Miller&#8217;s new trial in 2009, his lawyer &#8220;attempted to withdraw and complained he had not been paid in years.&#8221; However, the judge presiding over the case refused the attorney&#8217;s request.</p>
<p>Miller ultimately stood trial &#8220;with an attorney who made no effort to call favorable witnesses to testify.&#8221;</p>
<p>Furthermore, Kardashian explained that the jury only heard the two prior recanted testimonies instead of the &#8220;five defense witnesses&#8221; who maintained Miller&#8217;s innocence.</p>
<p>She explained that the jury returned with a 10-2 verdict, and despite one juror explaining that she voted &#8220;guilty under duress,&#8221; her response was changed to &#8220;guilty.&#8221; Then, Miller was convicted.</p>

<p>As Kardashian concluded by sharing the background of Miller&#8217;s case, she explained that he should receive a new &#8220;day in court&#8221; due to recently enacted Louisiana legislation.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Louisiana recently enacted a new law that provides innocent people with the ability to raise a post-conviction claim of factual innocence. Mr. Miller has raised such a claim and, like all of his prior post-conviction filings, has been denied relief without even so much as an evidentiary hearing,&#8221; Kardashian explained. &#8220;In light of the fact that the only witnesses have completely recanted their testimony, there is absolutely no remaining evidence against Mr. Miller,&#8221; she reiterated.</p></blockquote>
<p>The reality star then ended her words by asking for her followers to join her in advocacy.</p>
