<p>Rapper <strong>Kodak Black</strong> is reportedly in federal custody in Miami. As <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/kodak-black-lawyer-bradford-cohen-refute-claims-charges-florida/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Shade Room</a> previously reported, the 26-year-old was arrested in Plantation, Florida, on December 6. He was subsequently charged with cocaine possession, tampering with evidence, and an improper stop/stand/park.</p>
<p>On December 8, the rapper pled not guilty to his charges and was released on bond. Additionally, Black requested a trial by jury and was ordered to abide by a Pretrial Services Supervision Order as he awaited the proceeding.</p>

<p>According to a report published by <a href="https://www.nbcmiami.com/news/rapper-kodak-black-in-federal-custody-after-violating-his-probation/3185720/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NBC 6 South Florida</a> on Saturday, December 16, Kodak Black was taken into federal custody after &#8220;violating his probation.&#8221;</p>
<p>Additionally, the outlet reported that the rapper is being held at Miami Federal Detention Center in Florida.</p>
<p>According to the <a href="https://www.bop.gov/inmateloc/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Federal Bureau of Prisons</a>, the rapper, whose real name is Bill Kapri, is listed as an inmate at the facility under register number 18149-104. Additionally, Black&#8217;s release date is listed as &#8220;UNKNOWN.&#8221;</p>

<p>Kodak Black&#8217;s federal arrest arrives two days after he and his lawyer filed a motion in his cocaine possession case. <p>The filing alleges that the rapper was the subject of an &#8220;unlawful investigatory stop and arrest&#8221; by two officers of the Plantation Police Department. Additionally, the filing alleges that the arresting officer did not give Black time to move his illegally parked Bentley. Allegedly, the officer approached Black&#8217;s vehicle instead, &#8220;opened the driver side door&#8230; and shut off the vehicle&#8217;s engine.&#8221;</p>
<p>As <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/kodak-black-lawyer-bradford-cohen-refute-claims-charges-florida/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Shade Room</a> previously reported, the officer noted a white substance falling from the rapper&#8217;s mouth during his arrest. This resulted in the rapper&#8217;s subsequent cocaine possession charge.</p>
<p>Kodak Black and his lawyer have since alleged those claims to be false.</p>

<p>Cohen alleged the substance found on Black was Percocet.</p>
