Kylie Jenner Donates $1 Million To Australia Relief Effort Following Backlash For Rocking Fur Slides

Kylie Jenner pulled a “big bank” move on her social media critics. After getting called out for rocking fur slides, just after she raised awareness about the rising death toll of animals in Australia’s fires, she decided to donate $1 million to various Australian relief efforts, according to People.

Kylie is reportedly doing whatever she can to help and that the post of her Louis Vuitton mink fur slippers was unintentional.

Kylie’s major donation comes shortly after Kim Kardashian had to check a fan who accused her family of not donating to the Australian wildfires relief efforts on Twitter.

The fan, who tagged the Kardashian/Jenner sisters in the tweet, said, “Nothing gets me more heated than to see the Kardashians/Jenners talk about climate change/wildfires & not donate even a penny.”

Kimmy Cakes clapped back by saying that just because they haven’t publicly spoke about making donations, doesn’t mean they aren’t doing their part to help.

“Nothing gets me more heated than to see people think they know what we donated to and to think we have to publicize everything,” Kim Kardashian tweeted in response.

Kylie is not alone in her philanthropic efforts. Other celebrities who have pledged to help Australia include Chris Hemsworth and Pink.

As of Monday, at least 25 people had died as a result of the ongoing crisis, and experts say that the fires will go on for months, according to NPR.
