Latto doesn’t want talks of working with a difficult male artist to overshadow her album release. It’s the reason she declined to name drop the rapper during an interview withThe Breakfast Club. While speaking on her pending project, Latto revealed she sort of wishes she didn’t speak on the clearance situation in the first place.
“My intentions was not to, like, make this a whole thing, Latto said.I just was looking at it as, like, Im a new female rapper in the game. I wish somebody could have gave me some insight about how this stuff really goes. You hear, like, Oh, female rappers have it harder. But I really wanted to give a little insight as to what specifically makes it harder for a female rapper. I didnt want it to distract from the music or anything so I kind of wish, in a way, I didnt say that.
Latto also said she hasn’t had any communication with the person after going public with her experience. You’ll recall that Latto let her Twitter followers know she was having issues with male rappers trying to “hold nuts” on her. She later added context to the vague tweet during a Big Boys Neighborhood interview.
“Im clearing my album right now, and its been like difficult to deal with these men. They dont know how to keep a business,” Latto said. She added that the person is “trynna drop they nuts on [her] because [she] wont respond to a DM.

DuringThe Breakfast Club’sinterview, published on Wednesday, host Angela Yee suggested the unnamed person should “just shut up” or give Latto an apology. The artist agreed to both.
“Im not here to raise nobody, Latto said. Im just speaking on, like, its what I go through. And I think Im allowed to do that to a certain extent. Social media is trying to turn it into this thing thats like, oh, Im trying to clout chase or silence my experiences. I think its hard to know when you should and shouldnt speak up.
Later in the interview, Charlamagne asked Big Latto if Kodak Black is the unnamed rapper who gave her a hard time. Given that the interview was pre-recorded on Tuesday, Latto revealed she’d just seen Kodak’s tweet denying rumors that the difficult rapper is him. Still, she declined to confirm or deny any names.
“I dont wanna say who it was, Latto said. I just feel likeits gonna distract from the music and my intentions is not to get anyone dragged or anything. I just wanted to speak from, like, what do I deal with? I dont specifically want someone to, you know, get dragged.
