<p>On the heels of his surprising retirement announcement, celebrity stylist Law Roach is dishing on how <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/zendaya-1million-per-episode-of-euphoria-season-3/?_gl=1*1wbt0be*_up*MQ..*_ga*NDUwMDU1OTA2LjE2Nzk0OTU4Mzc.*_ga_V2HX8YP3XL*MTY3OTQ5NTgzNi4xLjEuMTY3OTQ5NTg0MS4wLjAuMA.." target="_blank" rel="noopener">Zendaya</a>—one of his close longtime clients—handled the news.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Law Roach Says He &; Zendaya Have Always Supported &; &#8216;Protected&#8217; Each Other</h3>
<p>During a sit-down on Emily Ratajkowski&#8217;s <em><a href="https://open.spotify.com/show/1sbjTlSAwpfTXjyDTr3yYg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">High Low with EmRata</a> </em>podcast on Tuesday, Law acknowledged how the <em>Euphoria </em>star reached out to him after he made his since-deleted retirement announcement on Instagram, in which he proclaimed, &#8220;My Cup is empty.&#8221;</p>

<p>Law Roach recalled that Zendaya &#8220;called and said, &#8216;Girl, I thought we&#8217;d make big decisions together.'&#8221;</p>
<p>Despite Zendaya&#8217;s shock, though, the 26-year-old &#8220;of course&#8221; stood by Law&#8217;s side. In fact, on top of providing emotional support, she even offered to &#8220;send [Law] on a vacation.&#8221; Oh-kay—talk about friendship goals!</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;She&#8217;s like, &#8216;Do you need me to send you on a vacation? Like, tell me what, tell me what you&#8217;re going through.&#8217; And I talk[ed] to her about, you know, just being unhappy and being unhappy for a really long time&#8230;And she was like, &#8216;Whatever you need, whatever you need.'&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>With Zendaya being so supportive of Law&#8217;s decision, he went on to speak on how &#8220;people started to blame her for [his] retirement.&#8221; After saying that the speculation simply &#8220;isn&#8217;t true,&#8221; he pointed out that Zendaya &#8220;has always protected [him] in this industry and vice versa.&#8221;</p>
<p>We should also note that Law said that the overall speculation &#8220;spilled over to [his] suffering.&#8221;</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;People started to blame her for my retirement. And that wasn&#8217;t fair to her. And the things they were saying, of course, isn&#8217;t true. So that spilled over to my suffering, she started to suffer too. And I didn&#8217;t think I didn&#8217;t think that was fair. Because she has always protected me in this industry and vice versa.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Law Acknowledges How His Nephew&#8217;s Death Factored Into His Retirement Decision</h3>
<p>In addition to speaking on how Zendaya reacted to the retirement news, Law also addressed how the death of his three-year-old nephew contributed to his retirement decision, as he was so busy working that he only got to see his nephew &#8220;maybe four times in his three years.&#8221;</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I lost my nephew, two years ago, the day before Thanksgiving when he was three. And he fell out of their apartment window. And I think that&#8217;s when a shift for me started to happen&#8230;I had literally only got to really see my nephew maybe four times in his three years because of work and the guilt of that you didn&#8217;t even get a chance you didn&#8217;t get a chance to hold him enough. You didn&#8217;t get a chance to kiss him and tell him you love them enough. So that was really tough for me. I had never been depressed in my life. And I went through a bout of really, really strong depression.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>He went on to add that, one day, he realized just how much of his life was utterly consumed by work, and he knew that he wanted to make a change.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I just woke up one day, and I&#8217;ve been dealing with a lot of anxiety—like, crippling anxiety, honestly. And I&#8217;m like, &#8216;Why? I know how to do this job. It&#8217;s the only thing I know how to do.&#8217; But I just started to realize [that] I&#8217;m not in relationship. I have never been in a relationship. These last eight, nine years, my focus has only been my career blinders on like, so I lost a lot of friends.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
