During Monday night’s Lakers and Hawks game, thangs got a tad bit spicy between #LeBronJames and a group of hecklers, dubbing one as “Courtside Karen.”
In the fourth quarter of the game, referees had to take a pause because there was a lot of commotion going on between LeBron and four individuals sitting courtside. According to reports, LeBron was being heckled and, consequently, the hecklers were removed.
In an Instagram story, one of the individuals, Juliana Carlos, alleged that LeBron used expletives towards her husband, which led to her coming to his defense. She stated, “So, Im minding my own business, and Chris has been a Hawks fan forever. Hes been watching the games for 10 years. Whatever, he has this issue with LeBron. I dont have an issue with LeBron. I dont give a fk about LeBron, she said in a series of since-deleted videos on her Instagram Stories. Anyway, Im minding my own business, drinking, having fun. All of the sudden, LeBron says something to my husband, and I see this and I stand up. And I go, Dont f***ing talk to my husband.”‘
She continued, [LeBron] looks at me and he goes, Sit the f**k down, b***h. And I go, Dont f***ing call me a b***h. You sit the f**k down. Get the f**k out of here. Dont f***ing talk to my husband like that.
After the shenanigans, LeBron addressed the incident. Seemingly unbothered, he stated,
At the end of the day, Im happy fans are back in the building, LeBron stated. I miss that interaction. I need that interaction. We, as players, need that interaction.
LeBron also said that I don’t feel like it was warranted to be kicked out.” He added, They might have had a couple drinks, maybe. I think the referees did what they had to do.
Welp.
