Roommates, congrats are in order for R&B singer, LeToya Luckett and her husband, Tommicus Walker, as the couple welcomes their second child.
Posted with a photo on Instagram, showing the singer turned actress with a baby bump, dressed in all white, and a serene background, she slid this across our desks.
She wrote:
“Dear God, thank you. Growing & glowing in your light & love! Overjoyed & grateful for our little bundle.”
If you recall, the singer and Tommicus welcomed their baby girl, Gianna Iman Walke, in January of 2019. Tommicus also has a daughter from a previous relationship. The two married in 2017.
The couple met and spoke on the phone for 30-days. According to season 3 of Owns’ Black Love, the “Greenleaf” actress hid her identity. Tommicus didn’t know he was speaking to LeToya Luckett. He stated that he thought the was just talking to “another Black woman named Toya.”
Eventually, she told him who she was. She stated,
So, here’s the thing, my name isn’t just Toya. He said, ‘Well, what’s your name?’ He said but before you say anything, I want you to know it doesn’t change anything about us. It doesn’t change the person that I’ve been talking to for the past month. My feelings are still the same for you. He gave me this whole thing and I was like, ‘Maybe I shouldn’t tell him anything, just keeping going with Toya.’ Basically, I said my name isn’t Toya. My name is LeToya Luckett. And he like took a beat.
