Just when you thought Lifetime was finished, they are back with another special, and this time around they will focus on the effects of their Surviving R. Kelly docuseries.
According to Deadline, the follow-up special will be hosted by journalist Soledad O’Brien as they examine all of the things that happened since the three-part docuseries Surviving R. Kelly, which premiered back in January.
Surviving R. Kelly: The Impact will feature clips from the original special, along with interviews with journalists, legal experts, non-profit organizations and psychologists as they discuss the accusations made against R. Kelly. Viewers will also get an in-depth look at R. Kellys viral CBS interview with Gayle King.
As many of you know, since the airing of Surviving R. Kelly, he has parted ways with his record label, RCA. He has also been arrested and indicted on 10 felony counts of aggravated sexual abuse against four people, including three minors, dating back to 1998.
Lifetime has said that more than 26 million people have seen at least a portion of their Surviving R. Kelly docu-series.
Surviving R. Kelly: The Impact is scheduled to air on Lifetime on May 4th.
