We’ve previously reported that #LilKim was in a court battle with her New Jersey home as it is in danger of being sold off, but now she’s pleading with the courts to work with her! It seems that she is really trying to fix her finances.
According to documents obtained by @Blast, Kim claims that she filed chapter 13 bankruptcy in an attempt to prevent the sale of her home in a public auction. “I remain committed to saving my home and reorganizing my debts,” she says in the docs.
Kim is pleading with the courts to change her bankruptcy status to chapter 11 so that she would be able to clear up her debts and repay what she owes. For instance, one of her creditors recently filed a motion stating that she missed her June 1st payment of $10,155.47 and they’re demanding that they be allowed to take legal action.
The creditor is requesting the judge to be allowed to seize the home and sell it to the highest bidder as they claim the House is worth at least $2 million.
The judge has yet to make a decision, so we’ll keep y’all updated!
