Roommates, Lil Nas X is no stranger to thinking outside the box when it comes to his sense of fashion—but now he’s also trying out a daring new look with his hair. In a recent Instagram post, Lil Nas X paid a little throwback tribute to middle school days courtesy of his new “weave” ponytail.
One of the main reasons why his fans love him so much is because Lil Nas X is unafraid to present himself outside of what is considered normal within the hip hop world. He’s known for rocking bright, flamboyant looks in a modern, fresh way.
Due to this, it was unsurprising that he decided to tackle a new hairstyle that many girls wore back in the days of middle and high school. Posting to his Instagram account, Lil Nas X asked his fans about his new ‘do.
“Ya’ll mind if I wear weave one time,” he captioned the photo in which he is seen wearing an all-blue outfit complete with tiny blue shades. The hairstyle in question is a classic fan ponytail with braids in the front.
Meanwhile, he also seems to finally be ready to release some new music following his recording-breaking success last year with his hit song “Old Town Road.”
Earlier this week on Twitter, he teased his fans and jokingly wrote, “Gonna start back releasing music soon. The old town road money running out.”
