Looks like Lil Wayne picked his friends over his fans yesterday as he was a no show at a Minneapolis nightclub because his friends weren’t able to get in !
According to the NYPost, he refused to perform at the Venue on First Avenue Nightclub because his friends were denied entrance for not abiding by security protocols.
They had refused to be pat down or even go through the metal detectors when they first got to the club even though the club says its the club’s policy. It sounds more like an airport then a club to me! But anyways the club also claims that they refused to give proper identification forcing security to deny entry.
The club also released a statement on their website addressing the situation and said refunds would be issued:

I’M FROM MINNEAPOLIS AND I THINK THE VENUE DID THE RIGHT THING BY THE SECURITY CODE. WE HAVE HAD PEOPLE GET SHOT DOWN ND KILLED IN CONCERTS LIKE AT THE YO GOTTI CONCERT OR EVEN JUST ON REGULAR CLUB NIGHTS. I FEEL LIKE THEY WERE KEEPING US SAGE FROM ANYTHING HAPPENING AN LIL WAYNE SHOULD HAVE TOO. IT’S ALOT OF LIL WAYNE FANS HERE AND WE ALL WERE PAYING 100 DOLLARS AT THE CHEAPEST FOR GENERAL ADMISSION SHIT THE TABLES WHERE 3 THOUSAND DOLLARS STARTING OFF AND WE PAYED THAT. I FEEL LIKE WAYNE LET ALOT OF PEOPLE DOWN. I UNDERSTAND HE WANTED HIS PEOPLE BUT THEY KNEW THE POLICY OF THE CLUB BEFORE COMING AND SHOULD OF BEEN AWARE OF WHAT WAS GONNA HAPPEN IF THEY DIDN’T OBEY BY THEM. IT’S FUCKED UP THAT WE LOVE THIS MAN MUSIC SO MUCH ND HE DIDN’T COME THRU FOR US. WE AINT GET NOTHING NOT EVEN A PEAK AT THIS MAN’S FACES WE AINT SEE A LUCK OF TATTOO NOTHING. AND THAT MAN BROUGHT THE WHOLE CITY OUT SMH……
