<p><strong>Lil Yachty</strong> has become the latest celebrity to learn firsthand about self-defense from viral trainer <strong>Dale Brown</strong>. According to <a href="https://www.complex.com/pop-culture/a/cmplxtara-mahadevan/lil-yachty-viral-self-defense-instructor-meet" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Complex</a>, Brown is the commander of Detroit Urban Survival Training.</p>
<p>Additionally, Brown has amassed <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@DetroitThreatManagementCenter/about" target="_blank" rel="noopener">hundreds of millions of views on social media</a> by teaching self-defense to everyday people — and even sometimes including celebrities in the mix.</p>

<p>Earlier this week, Brown took to Instagram to share a photo of himself and a child named Indira posed alongside Lil Yachty. <a href="https://www.complex.com/pop-culture/a/cmplxtara-mahadevan/lil-yachty-viral-self-defense-instructor-meet" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Complex</a> notes that it is unclear whether Indira is Brown&#8217;s daughter.</p>
<p>In the photo, the trio stood in Brown&#8217;s signature pose — a raised eyebrow with touching fingertips.</p>

<p>Then, on Monday, Brown returned to Instagram to give fans a full glimpse of Yachty&#8217;s visit with him. Brown shared a video that showed him testing various self-defense techniques on the rapper — some which showed Brown almost dislodging Yachty&#8217;s arm and others which showed Brown twisting the rapper&#8217;s fist.</p>
<p>Brown&#8217;s actions elicited strong replies from Yachty, who ultimately expressed satisfaction from the few demonstrations he engaged in with Brown.</p>

<p>Brown declared Yachty &#8220;safe&#8221; and then spoke to the camera.</p>
