<p>As artificial intelligence <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/capitol-records-signs-first-artificial-intelligence-rapper-fn-meka/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">(AI) programs</a> become more accessible and well-known, this technological phenomenon has faced opposition within the music industry.</p>
<p>Specifically, the <em><a href="https://www.ft.com/content/aec1679b-5a34-4dad-9fc9-f4d8cdd124b9" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Financial Times</a> </em>reports that Universal Music Group (UMG) is calling on streaming services to straight-up block AI companies from using copyrighted materials to &#8220;train&#8221; themselves, as this information is used to create new, unauthorized versions of mainstream bops.</p>
<p>And it looks like <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/listicle/drake-gives-j-cole-his-flowers-brings-out-glorilla-lil-wayne-and-more-during-dreamville-festival-set/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Drake isn&#8217;t a huge</a> fan of the technology, either! He spoke out on his social media about the voice rip-off after The Shade Room reported Universal&#8217;s call to action.</p>
