<h3 style="text-align: center;">Lizzo Helped Out A Couple Named Grant &; Ryan</h3>
<p>Videos shared to social media show that the interaction was sparked by the singer taking note of a message on an audience member&#8217;s phone, which read, &#8220;Ask my brother&#8217;s boyfriend to marry him.&#8221;</p>
<p>Lizzo ultimately complied with the request, as she had the fan&#8217;s brother—Grant— FaceTime his partner and hand the phone to the &#8220;Truth Hurts&#8221; singer.</p>
<p>While on stage, Lizzo proceeded to make small talk with the man, Ryan, before she revealed that Grant had a major question for him.</p>
<p>Grant then proceeds to ask for Ryan&#8217;s hand in marriage, and—while he&#8217;s &#8220;too stunned to speak&#8221;—he accepts.</p>
<p>Lizzo then shares a congratulatory message and hypes up the audience before passing back the phone and continuing with her show.</p>

While accepting the award—which was presented by Shari Johnson-Jefferson, her proud mother—Lizzo proceeded to welcome seventeen noteworthy activists to the stage.</p>

<p>Lizzo proceeded to introduce each and every one of the activists while giving a brief run-down of their respective causes. Honorees included Shirley Raines of Beauty 2 The Streetz, Amariyanna &#8220;Little Miss Flint&#8221; Copenny, and Tamika Palmer—Breonna Taylor&#8217;s mother.</p>
<p>After sharing the stage with these seventeen activists, she passionately exclaimed, &#8220;Power will always be to the people!&#8221;</p>
