At this point, there arent many celebrities living their best lives as much as Lizzo. The last year has been a world-wind for her, as she has racked up endless chart-topping hits, accolades and is currently the most nominated artist at this years Grammy Awards. Lizzo is also now the latest artist to cover Rolling Stone magazineand she is showing even more of her curves despite what critics have to say.
Lizzo is nominated for a whopping eight Grammy Awards this yearand she could easily win them all. Shes practically unstoppable at this point, but her success has also come with a lot of criticism regarding her appearance. As a proudly plus size woman, Lizzo is very confident in her skin and often bares her body in revealing attire, there are those who have a problem with itbut Lizzo definitely doesnt care.
In her first Rolling Stone cover, Lizzo opens up about her body image, her critics and more:
[On not her music not being everyone]: Look, Im new. You put two plates of food in front of people, [and] one is some fried chicken. If you like fried chicken thats great. And the other is, like, fried ostrich p***y. You not gonna want to f**k with that. We eventually get used to everything. So people just gon have to get used to my a**.
[On her body image]: Ive come to terms with body dysmorphia and evolved. The body-positive movement is doing the same thing. Were growing together, and its growing pains, but Im just glad that Im attached to something so organic and alive.
[On being a plus size role model]: Im so much more than that. Because I actually present that, I have a whole career. Its not a trend.
You can catch Lizzo performing live at the 62nd Grammy Awards on January 26th at 8PM on CBS.
