<p><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/twitter-defends-plus-size-model-ashley-graham-amid-body-shaming-fans-want-lizzo-to-get-same-support/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lizzo</a> recently achieved a major milestone by buying a home, and she&#8217;s looking back on her journey to reaching this goal.</p>
<p>The &#8220;Truth Hurts&#8221; singer spoke on the matter during her sit-down with <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/video/lizzo-on-being-a-homeowner-its-a-milestone-for-me/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>CBS Sunday Morning</em></a>—which will air in full on Sunday, Dec. 25, at 9 a.m. However, a teaser for the interview was uploaded on Thursday to give fans a taste of what they can expect.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Lizzo Acknowledges Her Hard-Earned Accomplishment: &#8216;I Can&#8217;t Wait To Come Back To My Own Home&#8217;</h3>
<p>What chatting with Lizzo, journalist Tracy Smith asked about her new home, pointing out that her living situation was much different &#8220;just 10 years ago.&#8221;</p>

<p>Lizzo acknowledged this and noted that, now that she has a place that&#8217;s fully her own, she &#8220;can&#8217;t wait&#8221; to return home and enjoy the fruits of her labor.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Yeah. Woo, Staying in, like, people&#8217;s rooms and sleeping on their couches. And now, on this past tour, I was blessed to stay in really nice places. But I was like, &#8216;I miss my house. I can&#8217;t wait to come back to my own home and to my bed.&#8217; This is the first time I&#8217;ve ever said this. So, I don&#8217;t know. It&#8217;s a milestone for me.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p><em><a href="https://www.bet.com/article/31fhhe/lizzo-homeowner-milestone-cbs-sunday-morning" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BET</a></em> reports that Lizzo also spoke on how she&#8217;s &#8220;going overboard&#8221; with Christmas decorations this year by comparing herself to Santa Claus.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">The New Homeowner Prepares To Wrap Up An Eventful Year</h3>
<p>On top of Lizzo reaching the homeowner milestone, she&#8217;s also collected a number of other noteworthy blessings this past year.</p>
<p>As <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/lizzos-proud-mother-honors-her-with-peoples-champion-award/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>The Shade Room</em></a> previously reported, Lizzo recently had the honor of receiving the People&#8217;s Champion Award. While accepting the award, she shared the spotlight with 17 activists.</p>
<p>Shortly ahead of this major honor, TikTok notably named Lizzo as the platform&#8217;s top <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/iktr-lizzo-is-tiktoks-top-hitmaker-of-2022/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">hitmaker</a> of 2022.</p>
<p>Of course, we&#8217;d be remiss if we didn&#8217;t also acknowledge that Lizzo popped out with her bae, <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/lizzo-recalls-meeting-bae-myke-wright-when-she-felt-unlovable-says-theyre-very-much-locked-in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Myke Wright</a>, earlier this year, too. Regarding their relationship, Lizzo later admitted that they are very &#8220;much in love&#8221; and &#8220;locked in.&#8221; She also warmly announced, &#8220;There’s nobody else I’m going to be with for the rest of my life.&#8221;</p>
<p>Shoutout to Lizzo for reaching this major milestone, and we wish her well with her 2023 endeavors.</p>
