<p>Ludacris is taking his talents to Fear Factor!<br />
Do y&#8217;all remember that show?! People would compete for money by completing tasks that most people are scared of like laying in a tank of spiders while eating ostrich eggs, or driving under an 18-wheeler while it&#8217;s also moving!<br />
Well, we already knew Luda has a thing for crazy driving but now we know he has a thing for all things Fear Factor-ish. He not only snagged a hosting position for the show&#8217;s reboot but is reportedly also executive producing the 12-episode series.<br />
&#8220;I am excited to kick off my partnership with MTV, starting with the relaunch of Fear Factor, which will be even more insane and ludicrous than what you remember,” Luda said. “This will be the first of many great projects together.<br />
We hear the reboot isn&#8217;t what we expect at all&#8211;it&#8217;s supposed to be less intense.<br />
&#8220;The new incarnation will flip the script on its targeted Generation Z audience and instead of gross-out challenges (like eating worms), it will be more playful with the hope of providing a cathartic tension release along the way,&#8221; a report said. &#8220;The newly designed stunts are geared at tapping into visceral fears of today’s anxious youth — such as couch surfing at 300 feet and waterlogging personal cellphones.<br />
Inspired by urban legends, scary movies and online videos from the zeitgeist, contestants will be pushed beyond their comfort zones where their body’s physiological responses will take over. Each hourlong episode will feature eight contestants pairing up in four teams of two — think siblings, college rivalries, roommates, best friends, co-workers and exes — and facing off for a cash prize.&#8221;<br />
Fear Factor is set to premiere Tuesday, May 30, at 10 PM.</p>
